Modeling Collaboration within Diversity:

Proposal for Field Study of Brooklyn College Learning Center

 

The Brooklyn College Learning Center is the focus of my writing center field study report, the final project for Engl B5600, Writing Center Theory and Practice. I chose the Brooklyn College Learning Center primarily because of its roots, which are traced back to Kenneth Bruffee. As a writing consultant at the CWE campus of City College as well as a student and teacher, I seek as many opportunities as possible to observe collaborative learning in practice. Given my interest in collaborative learning and Kenneth Bruffee’s writing, what better place is there for me to conduct a research study than the Brooklyn College Learning Center?
